Renato Gerson Del Mar, born in Egypt in 1894, died of disease in Schio in 1916 in the First World War, in which he participated with the rank of second lieutenant of complement in the third regiment of mountain artillery. His father Renato (1868-1952) and his mother Matilde Benaroio (1870-1950) are buried with him. The Del Mar family was already present in Livorno in the Napoleonic census of 1809.

The sculptor Arrigo Minerbi (1881-1960) made a sculpture in 1926 in which the soul of the dead is welcomed by two angels. Minerbi worked in Wildt’s studio, created many religious works including the first door on the left of the Milan Duomo in 1937, completed only in 1948 because he had to hide during racial persecutions, and was favored by D’Annunzio.
